Three weeks in November there was a big multinational exercise of the European Defence Agency (EDA) in different parts in Belgium. Troops and helicopters from Belgium, Slovenia and Austria were involved.

One practice happened after sunset at Camp Elsenborn, a military training area in the beautiful east of the country. The scenario was to track down a foreign minister who was kidnapped and kept in captivity by terrorists as a high value target. The international cooperation of special forces completed the mission successfully after half an hour of intese combat at the small airfield of Camp Elsenborn.

Austrian Bundesheer UH-60 Blackhawk, AB-212 Huey and Belgian NH-90 and Agusta A-109 helicopters helped out in different roles like Close Air Support, Troop Carriage and Medical Evacuation.
